Class loyalty, spirit, and the never-ending desire to have a good time were the characteristics of the Apes of '75. Spud (our only double-digit man) kept one 'eye' out for our academic problems. On the other end of the Dean's list, Gino soaked up all the poop, often eliciting the help of the PH and PL departments, Pi-man, and the General. Boodie preferred to face the TD and Dean alone. We saw Chic at parade once (between jumping and boxing), while Mahtin made his presence known to cigabutt smokers everywhere. Layback's barber clippers, hammerhair, and rack, Dupe's chess books and knit cap, and RV's (Follow me!) string-ball and B-robe were familiar sights to all of us. Spithead enjoyed his green girl and Red Man (although no one else did), and John G. enjoyed driving us up a wall (at 180 per) with his bagpipes. Duty called and Abby left to take over the big squad, but his heart remained with Alpha-house. Stace left early Firstie year, too, but not before the Pink Pad polished up a bit. Bichin cruised through four basketball seasons, and Tup kept all our spirits high with his Rabble Rousing and streaking performances. Talking about high morale, Max and Hallerbean managed to keep a smile through it all. Ranger Keith kept us straight all the way through (as best he could). We still had our long hairs, though, even though T.C., Julio, and Guisseppie managed to get caught more than once. Thanks to Snakes string-pulling, we stayed in East/Pershing barracks all four years. Teds one and all, we were first in parties, first in class spirit, and first in coffee call. We were always "the harder right instead of the easier right."
