The Beta House, vintage 1975, distinguished itself by culturing a list of bizarre and improbable personalities. This loose-knit crew managed to survive 8 buck-ups and 3 Tacs and still come out smelling sweet. Who will ever forget such individuals as . . . McBeazel continually forgetting why the string was tied around his finger . . . Michael Bonaparte whose true loves were Debbye, Lubbock, and little men (not necessarily in that order!) . . . Ace, whose foreign language concentration was English . . . Ferd with his fixation for clean floors and weekends at the Mount . . . Rob and Shaef, behind closed doors, whose kinky sounds were often mistaken for studying . . . Riddler, the Midnight Cowboy who was enlightened by his trip East . . . Shafto, whose personal whims included eating, acid rock, and bouncing off walls . . . Ennis, whose touch of straightness more than made up for the Beta's lack therof . . . Cadetté、who amazed us with his drinking ability . . . Leebel, who no one suspected would become the little cog in the big machine . . . the Trouper, the family man of the company, managed to survive a falling window to graduate . . . Dietz, the company Casanova who finally got beaten at his own game . . . the Rahway Boys, Birdlegs and the Mad Russian with their passions for diamond rings, expensive cars, and the Green Girl . . . Tay, watching TV or mixing drinks in a station wagon at Target Hill . . . Our Old Man who was happy as long as he had his Marlboros, Jim Beam, and pot of Maxwell House . . . Jonesy, who loved golf and the Florida Sun . . . John, our exchange student from Sweden was never known to have an enemy . . . and finally Kliner, with his tales of Nebraska, could talk the ears off a Brass Monkey. The Beta House came from everywhere and melted into a mass of intense apathy, but they will all find their place in the sun. WE DON'T MESS AROUND!!!
