The Leopards of Lafayette came roaring into the Army stadium hungry for the Cadets but not hungry enough. Our season opener proved to be a thriller, with Army emerging as a 14-7 winner. Under new head coach Smith, the Army team tamed the leopards with the Smith-brought Wishbone offense and a 5-2 defense.
