The first time around Honorable Hogan was at the reins, leading the Big I to an almost runaway fall season -- capturing intramural championship and second in overall company competition. Fantastic Farrell succeeded as company com- mander and continued to lead I-3 in the same tradition -- VICTORY. Of course, there were sidelights, O'Rorke who always hated haircuts and loved football, Wishful Watkin who's still floating around the bottom of Lusk Reservoir, and even Tough Thomas, who may decide to stick around for still another year. Also, Captain Ghent and the All-American shooters -- Uhorchek and Thrasher wore the I-3 colors in Corps Squad, knowing only one thing: "How To Win!" Then there were the staffers, Armstrong and Chappell -- weighted down by excess stripes and surrounded by animosity; and Helpful Haith and Sedulous Sweberg who were lost during second detail; along with Dandy DiGiacinto. Yet, the personnel change was smooth as Modest Madsen and Mechanical Menzie filled the vacant spots. Then there was Keen Koontz and Bold Ben Collins who made life in the Big I exciting and fun -- spreading tales of woes, along with Big Jim Slavin and his football stories. Ranger Skaggs and Airborne Jones led the Big l in specialist training -- ready for exciting Army careers. Little "Ram" Ramirez with his cool-ray sunglasses and leather jacket left most to wonder -- where he got the money! Finally, Dave Washechek and J. C. Lekander organized the NCO ranks to bring harmony to the administrative functions of the company as First Sergeants. All in all, it was a great year. The best of luck to future I-3 companies -- from the Class of 1975!
