There stretches behind us now four years of an experience most of us would just as soon forget, save for the times and tribulations of the men of E-4. We slimed in to the warm womb of the "50's" to emerge, not only infected with love for a certain green girl, but also with an inkling of what it meant to be a part of this company. While the ranks have thinned out over the four years, four years, four years, the ties which will hold us all together after graduation, still tie us to those of E-4 who have fallen before the system. The man who taught us all to think another way was Scotty, a man who pulled us through with the knowledge and hope that all in the Army isn't forlorn decadence, and that there really are human beings "out there," and even though he left us at the end of Moo year, he continued to shed light on all of those he somehow considered his own. The Fish" never smiled, but underneath that calm exterior, we came to know a man who quietly sought out the best in all of us. The Rapper . . . well, what can we say? There were times of great joy to all of us -- like Plebe Navy -- and there were times we'd just as soon forget -- TEE's, Gloom, and Second Semester Physics, Yearling Year . . . All of us were a little sunburned by the glare of life. And so we leave this place, this company . . . a haven, a fraternity and an unforgettable experience. What carries us on now to whatever lay ahead somehow had its roots in the halls of E-4, and, through our careers, one cry shall echo eternally . . . GO NAKED!!!
